I started knitting back in 2007 when I was in school to become a physician assistant. It was a very effective way for me to manage my stress and anxiety during that time. I was able to take all of my anxiety and negative energy and turn them into something beautiful and warm and safe through my craft. I started making gifts for friends and family, and soon, was commissioned for my first sale!

Nievie Star comes from the desire to create and transform negativity and anxious energies into a beautiful comfort. I pour myself into each piece, stitch by stitch, using both knitting and crochet. My hope is that I can bring some warmth, beauty and comfort to everyone who wears my pieces and share they joy that transforming little strings into beautiful things has done for me.
